Just like design, I start illustrations with a rough sketch. This gives me a strong foundation to build from. The following are a sample of the many styles that I create. Iā€˜m not limited to these styles as I work in pencil, pen and ink, pastel, paint, computer generated and photo manipulation.

This poster was created to represent a style that I have developed. Keep it simple, keep it clean and it will look great.

This background illustration was created using acrylics and a dry brush technique.

These illustrations were originally drawn by hand in pen and ink, digitized and then converted to vector art. Color was added to make the vehicles pop off the page. The fill was intentionally left rough to match the style of the line work.

This Maglite flashlight is more than just a technical drawing. This drawing was done as vector art so it could be scaled to any size without losing quality. It was also created to use as a callout graphic, within promotional materials, and website use.

Hand drawn type has become very popular. Here it was drawn with pencil and then digitized. The other elements of the layout were done in the same style to give an overall connected look.

That was the inspiration for this illustration. It's a one continuos line drawing with an offset color. This style has a unique look and I have used it not only in illustrations, but logos as well.
